Taken in Tagaytay, Philippines (2025) • In response to the Lapu Lapu Festival tragedy in Vancouver, 100% of proceeds from print sales for this photo will go towards supporting United Way BC’s "Kapwa Strong" Fund, to provide immediate assistance, counselling & trauma services, and other critical support as the community continues to heal.
The Tagalog term ‘isandal’ translates to the verb "to lean" or "to rest". This scene reflects the quiet strength we find in community; the gentle power of showing up for one another–for healing and for refuge.
